Build a voice agent. Pass a live call.

The Vaani Voice Agent Buildathon is a one-day, in-person build at LEAP HQ, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, on Saturday, 31 October 2026, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. It’s part of the Vaani launch.

You’ll build a voice agent on Vaani that handles a real phone conversation. In the afternoon, judges call your agent live, on speaker, with a scenario you haven’t seen. No slide decks. Your agent holds the conversation or it doesn’t.

What you get

  • ₹1 lakh+ prize pool
  • 1,000 Vaani credits for every participant, plus setup help on the day
  • One month of Wispr Flow, free, for every participant

Who can join
Developers, PMs, founders, business owners and students. No voice AI experience needed. Come solo or in a team of up to 4. If you come alone, we’ll match you with a team. Selection is based on builder mindset, and there are 100 spots.

Tracks
Bring your own problem statement, or pick a track:

  • Customer Support Reimagined: take a frustrating phone menu and rebuild it as an agent that actually resolves the caller’s issue.
  • Difficult Conversations: automate the calls people avoid, like payment follow-ups, cancellations or saying no.
  • Care and Safety: an agent for elderly users, from medicine reminders to screening scam calls.
  • Open Innovation: anything that makes the room say “wait, it can do that?”

Schedule (31 October)

  • 11:30 am: Check-in
  • 11:45 am: Kickoff and Vaani walkthrough
  • 12:15 pm: Building starts
  • 1:30 pm: Lunch (keep building)
  • 3:15 pm: Submissions close
  • 3:30 pm: Live-call judging
  • 4:15 pm: Winners announced
  • 4:30 pm: Close

What to bring
A laptop, a charger, and a phone to test your agent.

With community partners HSR Founders Club and AI Learn Circle, and venue partner LEAP.
